Kloningersmühle

Kloningersmühle, 1804

The Kloningersmühle was a water mill at the southern exit of Langenlonsheim in the direction of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland-Palatinate . The building stood until the end of the 20th century and gave the district and the Hunsrück railway station its name.

Presumably the mill was built as a fortress . Around 1700 the Kloningers came to Langenlonsheim. They were evicted Protestants and mill owners from the Moselle area . The mill was expanded in 1804 and burned down to the house in 1904. After the Second World War, Otto Kloninger, his wife and daughter Marga lived in the mill. After the fire of 1904, the former ban mill for grain was not rebuilt. With his turbine driven by the Mühlbach, Otto Kloninger only operated a grist mill and a dynamo to generate electricity.
