Blagnac Abbey was a French Trappist monastery in Blagnac near Toulouse from 1852 to 1939 .

history

In 1852, Trappist women from Maubec Monastery ( Montélimar ) founded Blagnac Monastery. In 1939 they were driven out by the construction of the Toulouse-Blagnac airport and moved to the Rivet monastery south of Bordeaux for repopulation . They were followed by Dominican Sisters in Blagnac, and from 1987 onwards, the community of the Beatitudes .
