history

In 1834 the Trappist women from the Lyon-Vaise monastery left the revolution -torn Lyon and founded (near the Aiguebelle monastery) Maubec monastery in Montélimar. They maintained an orphanage there from 1847 to 1931. In 1844 they changed their name from Notre Dame de la Consolation to Notre Dame de Bon Secours . In 1991 they switched to their newly founded Abbaye Notre-Dame de Bon-Secours in Blauvac .

Foundations

In 1837 some of the Maubec sisters went to Vaise for resettlement (as a priory), but were expelled in 1904 by the dissolution of the religious orders and settled in Rogersville (New Brunswick) in Canada ( Assomption Monastery ). In 1852 Maubec founded Blagnac Monastery , which in 1939 moved to Rivet Monastery . In 1875, the Bonneval monastery was added, followed by Chambarand monastery in 1931 . The foundings of Notre Dame de La Nouvelle in the Gard (1879–1886) and Saint Vinebault / Vinebaud in Villeneuve-la-Lionne (?), Marne (1894–1897) department were short-lived .
