The monastery of Monte Sión (San Bernardo de Toledo) was built in 1427 Cistercian abbey in the Spanish region of Castile-La Mancha . It was in the city of Toledo .

history

After its foundation in 1495, the Bonaval Monastery was subordinated to the monastery as a priory. It existed until the disamortization in Spain in 1835. In Monte Sión there is now a Trappist monastery on the left side of the Tagus in the pre-founding stage in the Carretera de la Puebla de Montalbán in the west of the city.

Buildings and plant

Photos show an extensive, three-storey complex with a Renaissance entrance flanked by two lions, gardens and a pointed arched church.
