The Santa Maria de Caritate Monastery was a Cistercian monk abbey in Apulia , Italy , which only existed for a very short time . It was in the diocese of Taranto . The exact location is not known.
history
According to the statutes of the General Chapter of 1212, the Tre Fontane monastery sent a convent to found the Abbey de Sylva in 1211. The general chapter disapproved and the convention had to be recalled. It is believed that this monastery is identical to Santa Maria de Caritate. Nothing more is known about the monastery.
