The Stötterlingenburg Monastery was a Benedictine monastery in Lüttgenrode .

history

In 992 the monastery was donated by Hildeward von Halberstadt and consecrated three years later. It was renewed under Bishop Reinhard . Innocent IV took it under protection in 1249. In 1297 the Counts of Regenstein are named as bailiffs.

In 1557 it was abolished due to the Reformation. In 1606 it became a sovereign office.

Kleist von Nollendorf received it as a gift in 1814, as did Wülperode .

The tower of the monastery church still stands today, parts of the wall of the nave still stand.

On September 30, 1928, the Stötterlingenburg estate , which was later created, including the Bäselers Hof suburb, was combined with the Lüttgenrode rural community , with the exception of the arable land belonging to the manor owner Michaelis Braun in Suderode, merging these properties and the first-class traffic route to the south with the Suderode estate.
