The Klow Palace ( Ukrainian Кловський палац , Russian Кловский дворец ) is a palace built in the 1750s in the Baroque style . Since 2005, the Klow Palace has been the seat of the Supreme Court of Ukraine ( Верховний Суд України ).
history
The palace, which was built by the architects Gottfried Skull , Pjotr Nejolow and Stepan Kownir in the years 1752 to 1756 in place of a wooden house as a guest house of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra for the Tsar's family , is a monument of national importance from the 18th century.
The building on Pylypa Orlyka Street ( вул. Пилипа Орлика ) No. 8 has housed numerous different facilities in its long history, such as the Kiev Pechersk Lavra printing plant, a military hospital, two schools and two museums, including the Museum of History from 1982 to 2004 Kiev .
