The Museum of the History of Kiev ( Ukrainian Музей історії Києва ) is a museum in the Ukrainian capital dedicated to the history of the city of Kiev .
The museum is located in the Kiev district of Shevchenko at number 7 Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street, near the Teatralna Metro Station .
The museum's exhibitions show the history of the city, starting from the Kievan Rus to the present day. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. Admission is 30 hryvnia .

The decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR to establish a museum of the history of the city of Kiev was made on November 14, 1978. The museum was opened on May 26, 1982 during the 1500th anniversary of Kiev in the Klov Palace with exhibits from the Institute of Archeology National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and was based there until moving to the Ukrainian House in May 2004 . The museum was housed on the 4th and 5th floors of the Ukrainian House on the Khreshchatyk . Since there was not enough room for the entire collection of the museum, parts were to Mikhail Bulgakov Museum and the House of Peter outsourced. On August 22, 2012, the museum finally moved to the not undisputed new building on Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street.
