Salty snacks or snacks is an umbrella term for a variety of spicy baked goods. It is usually a crispy biscuit with table salt that is eaten as a snack .

Savory biscuits are produced by baking or deep-frying and are considered finger food because they are eaten with the hands. The salt is often sprinkled on the outside in addition to the salt in the dough. Despite the salty taste, this type of pastry also contains sugar. Salty snacks are often served when wine is tasted in order to neutralize the taste of the wine in the mouth before a new wine is tasted.
