The Knight Rocks (from the English translated mutatis mutandis Ritter rocks ) are a group of small clip rocks in the archipelago of South Shetland Islands . They are 7 km west-northwest of the southern end of Snow Island in Boyd Strait .
Commander Frank William Hunt (* 1922) of the Royal Navy Hydrographic Unit surveyed the rocks between 1951 and 1952. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1954 based on the name of the neighboring Castle Rock (translated from English, for example, castle rock ).
