Knud Poulsen

Knud Poulsen (born June 15, 1920 in Fjerritslev , Nordjylland region , † August 2, 2003 ) was a Danish journalist, writer and translator.

Life

Poulsen was a son of the postmaster Harald Henri Poulsen and his wife Sigrid Margrethe Eigtved. His first literary attempts come from his school days. After graduating, he was able to debut as a journalist in 1940: he was able to publish his first article in the Aftenbladet newspaper . Later he wrote regularly for national ideologies and politics .

On August 3, 1957, Poulsen married the art historian Hanne Finsen (* 1925).

Between 1963 and 1964 Poulsen worked as a radio announcer and presenter and became known beyond the national borders. In 1966 he was brought to the Det Ny Teater ( Copenhagen ) as a dramaturge, and from 1969 he was also in charge of this theater for a few years. Together with Ebbe Rode , he created a number of revues , but they were not granted any lasting success.
