Knut Anders Holmqvist (born July 15, 1918 in Trollenäs , † August 28, 2000 in Rydsgård ) was a Swedish sports shooter .
successes
Knut Holmqvist took part in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki in a trap . He scored 191 points, winning the silver medal behind George Genereux , who scored one more goal, and ahead of Hans Liljedahl , who scored 190 points. In the same year Holmqvist became world champion with the team in Oslo and won bronze in the individual competition. Two years later he secured silver with the team in Caracas . At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he finished seventh with 178 points.
