Knut Klotz

Knut Klotz (born July 5, 1944 in Zwickau ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Knut Klotz attended the Polytechnic High School (POS) " Friedrich Schiller " in Zwickau- Oberplanitz and then did an apprenticeship as an electrician . In 1967 he became an engineer for electrical systems construction. He later studied at the Humboldt University in Berlin and graduated in 1976 with a degree in law.

In the course of the change in the GDR , Klotz joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1990 . In the first free East Berlin election in May 1990 , he was elected to the Berlin city council. Even in the joint election in December 1990 , he was able to win the direct mandate in constituency 1 in the Treptow district . In 1995, Klotz left parliament.
