The Koča pri izviru Soče ( German hut at the source of the Soca ) is a mountain outpost at an altitude of 886 meters below the source of the Soča river in Trenta . The hut was rebuilt in 1953 by an Italian military establishment and later rebuilt and expanded. It is administered by the Jesenice Mountaineering Association and maintained from May 1st to the end of October. The hut has a 24-seater dining area and a bar. It offers accommodation in two rooms with 14 beds and a shared bedroom with 20 beds.

- on foot from Vršičpass about 1:30 h or from Log Čezsoški to Trenta in 1:15 h
