Ko Saket ( Thai : เกาะ สะเก็ด ) is a small island in the Gulf of Thailand in the Rayong Province ( Changwat ) .
The island can be reached via Hat Sai Thong (Thai: หาด ทราย ทอง ), the golden sands near Ban Phe (Thai: บ้าน เพ ), which is about 5 km outside the city of Rayong . From there it is about 15 minutes by boat to the island, which offers a good overview of the deep-water port Map Ta Phut . The island has beaches and coral reefs , but there are few places to stay.
