Koe de Oshigoto! ( jap. こ え で お し ご と! , Eng. "work with the voice!"), with the tagline female senior high school student do a blushing character voice story , is a manga series that was written by Azure Konno and adapted as an anime .

It was published from May 2008 to April 2013 in the Japanese magazine Comic Gum , published by Wani Books , and in a total of ten edited volumes. The story is about a sixteen-year-old girl who wants to work as a voice actress for Erogēs and comes into conflict with herself and with her fresh love.

action

The schoolgirl Kanna Aoyagi ( 青 柳 柑 奈 , Aoyagi Kanna ) is invited by her older sister Yayoi Aoyagi ( 青 柳 青 生 , Aoyagi Yayoi ) on her sixteenth birthday to witness the synchronization of an eroge in order to get an idea of the work. Yayoi has an interest in getting Kanna to work at her Blue March studio , as it could improve her financial situation. However, Kanna, who attentively follows the work of the professional speaker Fumika Warasono ( 藁 園 文 花 , Warasono Fumika ) - pseudonym Honoka Hanazono ( 花園 ほ の か ) - realizes that she could never bring the embarrassing words out of her lips and leave them horrified the studio. On the way home, however, she learns from her mother how much Yayoi has been committed to her since childhood and now sees herself under pressure. Back in the studio, her older sister encourages her to do exercises. However, this turns out to be more difficult than expected, since Kanna simply cannot pronounce perverse expressions out loud because she lacks the necessary overcoming.

Kanna has a strong imagination and can focus on certain things very specifically. This enables her to put herself particularly deeply into the scenes described, completely losing sight of the world around her. This poses a problem for her at first, as she is so embarrassed about the situation that she has to give up again and again. But she is fascinated by how the professional Fumika can manage to get the words out of her lips so easily. Yayoi notices that Kanna has almost no experience with eroges and quickly explains to her the different types of which she is given a copy to take home with her. When Kanna tried this out the next day, her strong imagination again was undone in the last game Home Made Maid, which was almost exclusively based on the representation of sexual acts , because she got an orgasm despite pure thoughts and without self-stimulation. However, she is rudely torn from her imagination by the message tone of her cell phone. This awakens in her again the thoughts of errogē as unsuitable for her. Nevertheless, she and her sister stick to the idea and after some training she is at least able to pronounce the words, although she still lacks the right accentuation. She is also confronted with the other employees of the studio, of which the illustrator Harie Natsume tends to get violent towards girls in school uniform, which of course also has direct consequences for Kanna. Since then, Harie has been under the strict supervision of Hirobe Huyumi, so that she cannot pursue her great preference for schoolgirls on Kanna again.

The most difficult task, however, turns out to be making the right noises, for example when playing a scene with oral sex ( fellatio ). As a sixteen year old and sexually inexperienced student, she has no idea how this should feel or sound. For this reason, Yayoi puts her childhood friend and scenario writer Nagatoshi Hioki ( 日 置 長 俊 , Hioki Nagatoshi ) at her side, on whose finger she is supposed to practice the action, whereby the advantage of her talent is revealed and she delivers a realistic performance as if in a trance .

In school, however, this is also noticeable, because after all, her friends Hazuki Nōge ( 能 家 葉 月 , Nōge Hazuki ) and Kotori Makino ( 牧野 小鳥 , Makino Kotori ) are amazed at the changes in their behavior and especially when they see them catch finger fellatio performed by yourself. Especially with Kotori, the thought arises that Kanna is obviously hiding something from them. Meanwhile, Kanna continues rehearsing in the studio and is now supposed to finally speak her first role. After starting problems, her excitement subsides and Yayoi also adds Nagatoshi, who offers her his finger. As a result, she gets back into the action so much that she really gets an orgasm without any further action and thus delivers an excellent performance. She speaks to her sister about the orgasm and praises Kanna's uniqueness to achieve it only through her imagination, which leaves Kanna with very mixed feelings. Her first game was a success and she was given the pseudonym Kanna Aoi ( 青 井 か ん な ).

When she hears her own work, she has an increasingly oppressive feeling that someone might find out that it is her voice and her pseudonym. This is particularly noticeable in school, as it is apparently being observed by classmate Motoki Kaidzu ( 海 津 元 樹 , Kaidzu Motoki ). Kanna notices this on other occasions as well, until finally the opportunity arises where both are alone in the classroom. Actually expecting a confession of love, Kanna is surprised by the question of whether she would have spoken the part in said game. Shocked, she escapes and tries to tell her sister about her suffering. However, when she mentioned the name Kaidzu, she reacted very calmly, calmed Kanna down and invited her for a chat the next evening. They visit the game developer Kaiser , where they first meet its owner Yasuhito Kaidzu ( 海 津泰 人 , Kaidzu Yasuhito ). It quickly turns out that it's Motoki's father. Motoki himself is involved in the development of erogēs, which takes a load off Kanna.

As a result, Kanna prepares for her next role in one of Kaiser’s games, where they read the script in a group. However, the content there is a lot harder than that of your sister. Once again, Kanna reveals major gaps in knowledge. Among other things, she asks why women would "lick a man's penis" at all . The assessors and even their sister Yayoi are more than surprised. Nevertheless, the extremely brazen speaker Shigekazu Sakanami ( 酒 波 重 一 , Sakanami Shigekazu ) , who is not reserved in words, declares himself ready to explain it to her. Of course, he does this in his very own ruthless way, with which he shocked Kanna quite strongly, but Kanna now has other questions. Among other things, why the girls in the games would drink the sperm and whether it really tastes that good. Shigekazu, who has just got into the mood, can no longer hold back and is already taking off his own pants. However, this attempt to explain comes to a quick, tangible end, since Fumika already doesn't believe in Shigeka’s behavior. Instead, the artist Natsumi Harie ( 針 江夏 実 , Harie Natsumi ) , who is by no means much better in this regard, takes on the matter and compares the taste of the sperm incorrectly with whipped cream. However, everyone in the group is satisfied with this, as they prefer to leave Kanna in ignorance in order to use their imagination. Only the second graphic artist Fuyumi Hirobe ( 弘 部 冬 実 , Hirobe Fuyumi ) has objections, but is already busy enough to hold back Natsumi.

Since Kanna and Motoki talk about their current work at school, both give Hazuki and Kotori the impression that they probably have a relationship. The two classmates ask Kanna several times whether she doesn't have a boyfriend, which she always denies, but cannot explain to them what the conversations are about. During the further preparations, it is ultimately decided that Motoki should be her partner for the recordings, especially since Fumika did not manage to arouse Motoki with her voice in a small competition, but Kanna even very much.

As the actual recordings begin, it turns out again that Kanna is unable to return to her usual state. So, at the instruction of her sister, numerous ideas are reviewed to get her in the right mood. After Kana and Motoki have to hug each other and the whipped cream is brought into play, Kanna is back at this point and can give a performance with an already known climax.

Hazuki is later persuaded by Yayoi to work as an eroge voice actress under the pseudonym Hazuki Noto ( 能 登 は づ き ), Kotori later moved to her under the pseudonym Kotori Makihara ( 牧 原 こ と り ).

Conception

The manga deals with the situation of the voice actors in erotic and pornographic works. He particularly goes into relationships with people who cannot identify with this role. The typical problems that can arise from such an activity are also shown. Especially since Kanna is still a minor and works under the pseudonym Aoi Kanna , which has a particular impact on their love affair.
