Kofi Osei (born June 3, 1940 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player and clergyman .

Career

In the club

Osei played in his club career for Yegola FC and later for Asante Kotoko SC . With the latter he was six times champion and 1960 cup winner between 1963 and 1972.

International

Osei was the top scorer of the Ghanaian national team at the 1968 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia and led the team to the tournament victory. He became the tournament's third top scorer.

Osei competed for Ghana in football, in the 1964 , 1968 , and 1972 Olympic Games .

Personal

After his football career ended in the 1970s, Osei became a priest in Kumasi . He was also the national coordinator of the National Games of the National Sports Council for a long time .
