Koha Ditore ( German : Daily Time ) is an Albanian-language newspaper that has been published in Kosovo and Albania since 1997. The newspaper is the most influential newspaper in Kosovo with a circulation of around 12,000 copies per day.

The newspaper is published under the supervision of Flaka Surroi, the sister of Veton Surroi, a well-known Albanian Kosovar publicist and politician who is also the founder of the ORA party. He edited the newspaper until the end of 2004, but handed over the chairmanship to his sister as he wanted to focus on his political career.

The newspaper mainly reports on politics, culture, sports and local news.

Projects

In 2003, the newspaper planned to deliver contributions for television stations and to achieve a larger circulation via the Internet. That is why they have been cooperating with the Serbian broadcaster B92 for a long time . Going on the Internet also promises greater objectivity towards what is happening in the Balkans .

The newspaper is already broadcasting news on the Internet via ARTA, which appears there in Albanian and English.

In 2003, Schweizer Medienhilfe provided the newspaper with a budget of around 200,000 francs for the procurement of the necessary equipment.

The international television station WTN also intends to give the newspaper some latitude for news on television. These news are scheduled to appear seven days a week. The project is supported by UNESCO and the EU .

The newspaper Koha Ditore also describes how it wants to train its own reporters: According to this, every reporter who works for the newspaper should gain international experience, which is broadcast in Croatia on the B92 channel and in the United States on the BBC .

National experience should be gained through a two to three week stay in Pristina .
