Coordinates: 33 ° 50 ′ S , 117 ° 9 ′ E The Shire of Kojonup is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 2,932 km² and has about 2000 inhabitants (2016).
Kojonup is located in the southeast of the state about 240 km southeast of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Kojonup , where about 1150 inhabitants live (2016).

The Kojonup Council has eight members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Kojonup is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
