The Kollafjarðarheiði is a highland road in the West Fjords of Iceland .
It connects Vestfjarðavegur with Djúpvegur over a distance of 25 km. This slope is hardly developed and only accessible for all-terrain vehicles with all-wheel drive. There are no bridges. At least seven rivers have to be crossed . In Kollafjörður this F-road branches off to the north and initially runs east of the river Fjaðarhornsá. On the Kollafjörður plateau, it reaches a height of 460 m above sea level. On the way into the Ísafjörður fjord , it now follows the Múlaá river and reaches Djúpvegur at Laugaból farm . For this slope there is no information about when it will reopen after winter, unlike the known slopes in the central Icelandic highlands .
The Kollafjarðarheiði plateau has the same name.
