This Kollafjörður is a fjord in the West Fjords of Iceland .
It is located west of Gufufjörður and east of Kvígindisfjörður on the north bank of Breiðafjörður . This fjord is barely 3 km wide and extends about 14 km into the country. Vestfjarðavegur runs along the west bank 
. Inside the Kollafjörður, the slope branches off 
over the Kollafjarðarheiði to the Ísafjörður fjord to the north. It first follows the valley of the Fjarðarhólmsá.
