Koloa

Koloa is an inhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Koloa is located southeast of the main island Vavaʻu south of the Tuanekevale headland . Between 'Ene'io Beach and the island there is still the small islet of Uatoloa . The island is one of the larger islands with several headlands reaching south into the sea and two settlements on the north coast: Holeva and Koloa .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Vavaʻu group, Koloa is occasionally hit by cyclones .
