Kolotahi (also: Luatofito ) is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Kolotahi is a motu in the Ava Pulepulekai Channel , deep in the heart of Vavaʻu. The island is north of ʻUtungake and at the entrance to Mount Talau National Park in the mangroves of the bay near Vaimalo . In the south of the bay lies the island of Nuapuli .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Kolotahi is occasionally hit by cyclones .
