Greek inscription from Kolybrassos

Kolybrassos was an ancient city on the border between Pamphylia and the rugged Cilicia in the south of Asia Minor between the present-day Turkish cities of Alanya and Gündoğmuş .

The city is known from some scattered notes by ancient writers, as well as inscriptions found there and a coin from the Roman Empire. Only the south-western section of the city wall has survived, as well as two temples and an odeon . On the south side of the city there was a necropolis with sarcophagi and a rock tomb.

The titular bishopric Colybrassus of the Roman Catholic Church goes back to a late antique bishopric of the city .
