Gündoğmuş is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Antalya and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Antalya (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1993 . Both border on the province of Konya in the north, Akseki in the south, Alanya in the east and Manavgat in the west . According to the logo, Gündoğmuş was raised to a Belediye (municipality) in 1936 .

Gündoğmuş is located in the western part of the Taurus Mountains . The mountains are mostly forested and the Alara River flows through this district.
