Döşemealtı is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Antalya and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Antalya (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1993 . The district is located northwest of the provincial capital and borders Korkuteli to the west, Konyaaltı to the south, Kepez and Aksu to the east and Burdur province to the north . The D-650, the connecting road from Antalya to Burdur , runs through the district .
According to the city seal, the place was raised to the rank of Belediye (municipality) in 1977.
Since a territorial reform, the municipality has been identical to the district in terms of area and population; all former villages and communities in the district have become Mahalla (districts) of the city.
