The Kombi Technik und Sicherheit is a vehicle used by disaster and civil protection for technical support of other units. The station wagon is implemented as a crew transport vehicle with a loading area (MTF) and a trailer. In North Rhine-Westphalia only the trailer is provided by the state. The towing vehicle is then either the medical service equipment vehicle or an MTF. It is used exclusively by aid organizations, but not by the fire brigade and technical aid organization. Within the cartridge unit of the DRC it is very often used.

tasks

The tasks of the Combined Technology and Safety are:

  • Crew transport
  • Power generation
  • lighting
  • Traffic safety
  • heater
  • Firefighting on a small scale
  • Decontamination and NBC protection

Example of the German Red Cross (DRK) Combis, which consist of a towing vehicle and a trailer with the technical equipment, serve as the DRK's emergency vehicle. These include:

  • 1 × 4-seater station wagon with loading area: special signaling device, radio system in the 4 meter band of the BOS, car trailer hitch, on-board equipment
  • 1 trailer with the necessary equipment
  • GW-TuS (equipment trolley technology and safety)

Emergency services:

  • 4 sets of operational clothing in accordance with the uniforms regulations
  • 4 pieces of suitable alarm means (e.g. radio signal receiver)
  • Other equipment: 1 × handheld radio, 2 meter tape with accessories (for group leaders), 1 × office box

Release order

The Combined Technology and Security operates as a technology and security team , which usually moves out in a deployment unit together with other groups under the direction of a leadership team , but can also deploy as a rapid action group in conjunction with a leadership team .
