history
The Combined Fleet was established on July 18, 1894, a week before the outbreak of the First Sino-Japanese War , and was disbanded a few months after its end (April 1895). Yamamoto Isoroku was instrumental in expanding the fleet. On October 10, 1945, shortly after the end of the war, the fleet had to disband due to the surrender conditions .
