Come on tour - my strengths, my future

Come on tour - my strengths, my future is a nationwide program introduced in 2006 by the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) and the Federal Employment Agency for young people of 7th and 8th grade levels of all school types for interactive strengths discovery with the content-related topics of career orientation and the Life planning.

The group of people addressed in the program includes students, teaching staff, parents and partners of the BZgA .

In four groups (mono- or co-educational ), the young people go through a six-station adventure course, where their own strengths and interests can be discovered through play. Through different tasks, the students are supported in perceiving and discovering images of themselves and others. The approach is resource- and strength-oriented and is intended to increase the students' self-worth.

Teachers and other educational staff will receive methodological suggestions for preparation and follow-up during the event. This includes a preparatory workshop as well as a teacher leaflet with methodological suggestions and materials. The event itself can also be used to establish contacts with extracurricular institutions in the fields of career orientation and life planning.

Parents are informed about the event and the project in a multilingual letter to parents and are invited to an information event at which the project, its contents and goals as well as the six pracours stations are presented.

The Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) has given the agency Sinus - Büro für Kommunikation GmbH as the project sponsor for the conceptual development, the regional implementation of the project and the contractual and financial agreements .

The project Come on Tour - My Strengths, My Future is currently being carried out in the following federal states:

• Baden-Württemberg
• Berlin
• Brandenburg
• Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
• North Rhine-Westphalia
• Saxony and others.

In connection with regional cooperations or direct cooperation with cities and districts, the offer Come on tour - my strengths, my future as well as further events can be booked by schools and extracurricular institutions (such as leisure-time educational offers, youth and district work, intercultural events , Film screenings, etc.).
