history

The forerunner of the commanding admiral eastern Baltic Sea was the commanding admiral Ostland , whose office was dissolved in June 1944. His tasks were transferred to the commanding admiral eastern Baltic Sea.

The area of command initially corresponded to that of the commanding Admiral Ostland and extended from the main battle line in the north to the German- Lithuanian border.
