The Communist Youth of Greece , ( Κομμουνιστική Νεολαία Ελλαδας , KNE) is the youth association of the Communist Party of Greece (short: KKE). She publishes the monthly magazine Odigitis (Greek: Οδηγητής , "Instructions"), organizes the Odigitis Festival in most of the larger cities in Greece , is a member of the World Federation of Democratic Youth and takes part in the meetings of European Communist Youth Organizations .

history
The KNE was founded on August 22, 1968 by decision of the KKE Politburo during the period of the military junta in Greece (1967 to 1974) as an organization for communist youth.
Between 1989 and 1991 the KNE plunged into an ideological crisis, which resulted in various divisions and a decline in membership. However, this situation could be counteracted and in 1993 the 6th KNE congress took place. In the last few years it was able to experience increasing acceptance among the youth and accept many new members. In 2009 the MAS (Bund des Studentenkampfes - Μέτωπο Αγώνα Σπουδαστών , ΜΑΣ) was founded, in which communist students organize.
