Conference of Committee Chairs
The Conference of Committee Chairs ( English Conference of Committee Chairs , French La Conférence des présidents of commissions ) is an organ of the European Parliament and is made up of the chairmen of the parliamentary and Special Committees. It makes recommendations to the Conference of Presidents on the work of the committees and their responsibilities, as well as proposals for the agenda before each meeting . The conference is chaired by the Chairman of the Constitutional Affairs Committee , Antonio Tajani ( FI / EPP ).
The legal basis is Article 29 of the Rules of Procedure. The conference chair is re-elected every two and a half years shortly after the committee chair elections.

- 1999 - 2002: Ana de Palacio (PP / EPP, left the EP early), until the beginning of 2002: President of the Conference of Committee Chairs
