Denominational-cooperative religious education

A denominational-cooperative religious education ( ab . KoKoRu ) or dialogical-denominational religious instruction also contains parts designed by religious teachers of different denominations within its traditional confessional framework . Such attempts are being made at several school locations in the German-speaking area. However, the team teaching that is often practiced is time-consuming.

At the Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule Wien / Krems there are some jointly conceived, i.e. denominational-cooperative modules within the framework of religious teacher training .

Austria

There are several reasons for these considerations and first attempts to form common religious groups: The increasing ecumenical openness, the decline in the number of Catholic participants, and the increasing number of religious communities offering religious instruction in schools (and the associated difficulties in terms of timetables). Since the 2002/03 school year, Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox religion teachers have been teaching together at several schools in Vienna (e.g. in the 2015/16 school year at 17 schools in Vienna.) In Austria, several churches have defined key points / framework conditions as the basis for dialogue- Confessional RU projects resolved (on October 17, 2012).
