history

In 1917 the company was founded by Konrad Dreßler in Fürth . The first products were household items, such as B. door handles or cigarette tamper. The production of toys began five years after the company was founded. Mainly horse-drawn cannons and military carriages were made. In 1946 the first 0 gauge railroad was delivered. 1956 began the production of the two-wire system with 14 volts direct current operated H0 gauge railways , for two years rails of the company Fleischmann could be sold exclusively. In 1962 the production of the 0 gauge railways and the other products was given up in favor of the exclusive manufacture of the H0 gauge railways . Distribution was largely carried out by Quelle GmbH , which, however, decided in 1970 to distribute the products of the cheaper provider Lima . As a result, the Konrad Dressler company lacked an economic livelihood.
