Konrad Kellenberger
Konrad Kellenberger (born February 9, 1907 in Wienacht ; † January 21, 1976 in Winterthur ) was a Swiss precision mechanic and watch collector.
Work and life
Konrad Kellenberger was already enthusiastic about watches in his youth. After completing his apprenticeship as a precision mechanic, he began his work at the age of 19 in the workshop of the technical center in Winterthur . He soon became a watch specialist in demand worldwide and meticulously collected rare old watches.
collection
At the end of the 1960s, Konrad Kellenberger decided to sell his collection to the city of Winterthur. The Kellenberger watch collection initially housed it in its own museum in the town hall, and since 1999 the collection has been housed in the trade museum.
