Konrad von Thierberg the Elder
Konrad von Thierberg the Elder († 1279 ) was a knight of the Teutonic Order .
Life
Konrad the Elder is said to come from the Hohenlohe ministerial family , which borrows its name from Tierberg Castle . Konrad von Thierberg the Younger was his brother.
In 1270 he was Landkomtur des Culmerlandes and Vice Landmaster in Prussia and from 1273 to 1279 he held the office of Landmeister in Prussia .
During his term of office he is said to have prepared the way for the suppression of the great Prussian uprising, to continue to conquer the two Lithuanian territories of the Nadrauer and Schalauer and finally to have started the fight against the Sudauer . His time was thus essentially marked by the struggles of the German land conquest.
