Consortium (artist group)
Konsortium is a German artist group consisting of Lars Breuer , Sebastian Freytag and Guido Münch .
Consortium has become known for operating the project room of the same name in Düsseldorf. The exhibition space was founded in 2004 by Lars Breuer, Sebastian Freytag, Jan Kämmerling and Guido Münch in Düsseldorf .
As a group of artists, Konsortium realized a joint work for the first time in 2010. These were two wall paintings for the new building of the Folkwang Museum .
Project room
The showroom consortium was operated from 2004 to 2010. During this time 94 artists exhibited here, who came from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia and the USA and some of them had their first solo exhibition in these rooms.
Curated exhibitions
The consortium curated various group exhibitions, for example Secondary Structures in 2007 at KIT in Düsseldorf or the Dystotal exhibition in the Pori Art Museum and the Ludwig Forum Aachen in 2014 and 2016 .
