Konstantin Jurjewitsch Batygin ( Russian Константи́н Юрьевич Батыгин , * 1986 in Moscow ) is an astronomer of Russian origin living in the USA and an assistant professor of planetary science at Caltech . In 2015 Forbes magazine selected him on the “30-under-30: -Young-Scientists-who-are-changing-the-world” list. A work on the hypothetical planet nine , which he published together with Michael E. Brown in January 2016, received great media coverage.

Konstantin Batygin is married to Olga A. Batygin (née Mishina) and has one daughter.
