Konstantin Wawilow

Konstantin Wassiljewitsch Wawilow (born November 2, 1944 in Krasnoarmeiski , † November 30, 2009 in Dnipropetrovsk ; Russian Константин Васильевич Вавилов , English transcription Konstantin Vavilov ) was a Ukrainian badminton player .

Career

Konstantin Wawilow was one of the pioneers of badminton in what was then the Soviet Union. At the third championships of the USSR in 1965 he won the men's singles for the first time. By 1982 he won 5 more titles in singles, 15 in doubles and 3 in mixed.
