Constantine of Murom
Constantine of Murom ( Russian Благоверный князь Константин (Ярослав) Муромский even Jaroslaw Swjatoslawitsch , Russian Ярослав Святославич * by 1070 ?; † 1129 ) was Prince of Murom (from 1097 to 1123, 1127 to 1129) and Chernigov (1123 to 1127). He has been venerated as a saint of the Russian Orthodox Church since 1546 . His feast day is May 21st .

His father was the Kiev Grand Duke Svyatoslaw II , his mother Oda von Stade , daughter of a Lippold and Ida von Elsdorf, the niece of Emperor Heinrich III. and Pope Leo IX.

Growing up in Germany for a time, he received the Principality of Murom in 1097 together with his brothers Oleg and David . In 1123 he went to Chernigov , in 1127 back to Murom .
