Konstantinos Karakatsanis
Konstantinos Karakatsanis ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος Καρακατσάνης , * 1877 ) was a Greek athlete and rower .
At the first Summer Olympics in Athens in 1896 , he finished on the 2nd day of competition, March 26th jul. / April 7, 1896 greg. , seventh place in the 1500 meter run . The winner of the race was the Australian Edwin Flack, ahead of the American Arthur Blake and the French Albin Lermusiaux .
As a rower, Karakatsanis took part in the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens. The competition in the "sixteen with a helmsman" was carried out with naval boats over a distance of 3000 m. Karakatsanis and his team took fourth place out of five participating boats.
Karakatsanis was a member of the Panellinios GS Athens (GS = Galanis Sport) sports club.
