Konvekta was the first European manufacturer to mass-produce mobile air conditioning systems with the then new replacement refrigerant R134a . In 1994, Konvekta presented the world's first bus air conditioning system with carbon dioxide as a refrigerant at the International Motor Show (IAA), developed it further until it was ready for series production and was the first to use it in local transport from 1996.
