Koos van der Wildt

Koos van der Wildt (born November 23, 1905 in Voorburg ; † January 25, 1985 ) was a Dutch football player who was active at VUC Den Haag and played seven times in the Dutch national team.

Van der Wildt played in the 1920s and 1930s for the Hague VUC, with which he won the KNVB Cup in 1927 ; In the final on June 19, 1927 the Hague defeated Vitesse in Arnhem 3-1. His career in the Nederlands Elftal began two years later. On June 9, 1929, the defender was on a trip to Scandinavia against Sweden for the first time in the Oranje starting XI. The 2-6 defeat was followed by a 4-4 draw against Norway . Until June 8, 1930 van der Wildt played every international match for the Dutch for a year, his last appearance was again a 2-6 defeat, this time in Hungary . None of the seven international matches in which van der Wildt - without scoring a goal - participated, won the Netherlands; three of them ended in a draw.
