Koosdorf

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Koosdorf is a former single farmstead in the north of the Jasmund peninsula on Rügen, about 39 m above sea level. The homestead was 1400 m west of Bisdamitz and about 225 m south of the steep coast to the Baltic Sea.

The closest places are Bobbin about 2.5 km south and the center of Glowe about 4.0 km west. In good weather there is a clear view of Cape Arkona from the wooded cliff edge .

The homestead was closed in the 1950s ( Action Verziefer of the GDR Stasi ) and the residents were relocated. Because of the remote location, it was assumed that refugees from the GDR could find shelter . Today all buildings have been demolished and the place is forested.
