The head of a kore in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens ( NAMA ) with inventory number 27 is the remainder of an archaic statue of a young woman dating back to the late 6th century BC. Is dated.

The head shows some damage. Some of the nose, jaw and wreath are badly damaged, and other areas, such as the ears, also show minor bumps. The hair runs in two directions across the forehead. It has been worked into an artistically designed hairstyle with various curls. The rest of the hair falls down the nape of the neck in long curls. The skin is very smooth and gives a soft impression. The slit eyes have the usual almond shape, the eyelids are clearly worked out, the thin mouth forms the well-known archaic smile . There are large disc earrings in their ears. Remnants of green paint have been preserved here for decoration. Large areas of remains of red-brown color can also be found on the hair.

The statue of Pentelic marble was created in an Attic workshop towards the end of the 6th century BC . The head was found in Eleusis in 1882 . He is 19 centimeters high.
