Europe versus Asia
Europe versus Asia (or MVP Cup , named after the Filipino entrepreneur Manuel V. Pangilinan ) is a badminton team competition in which a selection from the European continental association BE (formerly EBU) competes against a selection from the Asian continental association ABC. An annual event was aimed for in 1983, but since 1988 the competition has only taken place sporadically. The European Badminton Union and the Asian Badminton Confederation have been jointly responsible as organizers since 1983 . In 1973 and 1979 two events were previously organized by the Scottish Badminton Union .
