Koppentor in Mainstockheim

The Koppentor in Mainstockheim , a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen ( Bavaria ), was opened in the 16./17. Century erected. The former gate of the fortification at the northeast exit of the place with the address Hauptstraße 144 is a protected monument .

history

The Koppentor, also known as the Oberes Torhaus or Oberes Maintor, was built as part of the former village fortifications . Georg Kopp lived in this building in the 17th century, which is where the name comes from.

The building, which is now privately owned, is a two-storey pyramid roof with a round arched gate passage.
