Korangi District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Sindh Province . The district forms part of the city of Karachi and consists of the districts of Korangi , Landhi and Shah Faisal .
The district has an area of 95 km² and, according to the 2017 census, has 2,457,019 inhabitants. The population density is 25,863 inhabitants / km².

The district is located in the south of Sindh Province, which is located in southeastern Pakistan. It forms the southern part of the mega city of Karachi
history
The district was created in 2013 from parts of Karachi East .
Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017 the population grew by 2.41% annually. 1,284,015 men, 1,172,737 women and 267 transgender people live in 421,618 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 109.5 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
