The Korpijärvi is a medium sized lake in the countryside Savo in the Southeast Finland .
The 31 km² large lake lies west of the Saimaa lake system and north of the Salpausselkä mountain range. It is divided into two halves by State Road 15 , which connects the cities of Kouvola and Mikkeli with its northern section . The village of Halmeniemi lies on its eastern bank . The largest islands are Ilkonsaari (19 ha) and Korpisaari (18 ha).
Fish species found in Korpijärvi include perch , European grayling , pike , Atlantic salmon , smelt , whitefish , arctic char and others.
