Corset piercing

Corset piercing untied with BCRs

A corset piercing consists of two rows of piercings , which usually run vertically and symmetrically along the back and can be tied together with ribbons similar to a corset . However, other positions are also common.

As a rule, a corset piercing is usually only done temporarily within a body art performance or for a photo shoot and removed again after a few hours. Ball closure rings (BCR) are usually used , which, similar to a D-ring, are used to thread the ligaments.

In contrast to the use of BCRs, surface bars allow the puncture channels to heal and thus the permanent wearing of the corset piercing. Attachments such as slave rings can replace conventional rings.

History and culture

Even though corsets have been around for a long time, the corset piercing is a novelty that established itself with the development of the piercing industry in the late 1990s . As with the real corset, it is mostly worn by women and associated with eroticism and aesthetics , especially in the fetish scene.
